Dr Abdullah Mustafa - Prize for the best basic science project

The Israeli Scientific Council of the Israel Medical Association examines every year all the scientific researches and projects done by the resident doctors as part of the requirements for completimg their residency and receive their certificate of specialization.

Every year one resident wins the prize of the best scientific research/project.

This year Dr. Abdullah Mustafa, resident in the surgical ward at the Barzilai medical center, was chosen to win this prize for his project on : "Polyglactin 910 meshes coated with sustained release cannabigerol varnish inhibited Staphylococcus aureus biofilm formation and macrophage cytokine secretion : An in vitro study".

Dr. Mustafa did this project under the tuition of Prof Doron Steinberg, Dr. Ohana Gil and Dr. Minch Yaron.
